Firefighters extinguished a blaze that ripped through a vacant home in North Hollywood Friday afternoon.
The fire was first reported around 12:15 p.m. at a one-story, single family home located at 6401 N. Camellia Ave.
First crews on scene found a fire outside the property that had spread to the adjacent home and began burning through the house’s attic.
A nearby home was in the path of the flames, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, and crews worked to protect it from the encroaching fire.
After about 25 minutes, all “active flames” were put out by fire crews. Fire officials have not said the full extent of the damage to the home.
No injuries were reported and investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
