A woman was allegedly run over by her boyfriend in a parking lot of Ocean Beach Pier after an argument, San Diego Police said. The boyfriend was also shot at and was taken to a hospital.
At around 9 p.m. Wednesday, a couple, a 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, were arguing and the ex-boyfriend was trying to mediate, said SDPD Officer John Buttle.
“The 22-year-old male got into his girlfriend’s car, put it in reverse and ran over his girlfriend,” Buttle said. “Shortly after two gunshots were heard.”
The boyfriend drove to the 2100 block of Bacon Street where police were notified of a shooting victim, the officer said. The man had a gunshot wound to the collarbone and two bullet holes were found in the car.
Police responded to both locations. No gun was located.
Both victims were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
SDPD detectives are investigating the incident and are trying to determine who shot the 22-year-old.
