Authorities in the High Desert have taken a suspect into custody after they found a man dead during a welfare check.
Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale station responded to the 37400 block of Oxford Drive in Palmdale around 10:35 a.m. Saturday to conduct a welfare check, the department said in a statement.
Upon arriving, deputies made entry into the residence and discovered the deceased victim. He was only identified as a Hispanic man.
During a “tactical operation” at the same residence, another man was located and arrested, LASD said.
No further details, including the identity of the man who was arrested, were released.
Anyone with information surrounding the incident is asked to contact LASD’s Homicide Bureau by calling 323-890-5500.
