A dog attacked two children, including one who had to be hospitalized, as they were walking in Victorville Thursday morning.
The Victorville Police Department was dispatched to the 13800 block of Mesa Linda Avenue following a report of a dog biting a child shortly after 7 a.m., the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release.
Arriving deputies learned that an unknown dog had bitten two children as they were walking to school.
“One child was able to run to safety, while a 7-year-old female suffered multiple injuries,” the Sheriff’s Department stated.
The dog ran off when a resident who lives nearby came outside to help the victim.
The girl was taken by ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
No further details about her injuries or condition were immediately available.
