As the Los Angeles Clippers prepared their new $2 billion arena in February, they had some unexpected, uninvited guests at the Intuit Dome.
In a viral TikTok video, two teenagers snuck into the active construction site in Inglewood, shot hoops and played with a fire extinguisher at the future home of the Clippers.
On Thursday, the Clippers poked fun at the situation with a video of their own.
In the team’s 2024-25 schedule announcement video, a group of teens appeared to sneak into a building near the Intuit Dome and operate a drone that captured video of the new arena.
The 2024-25 season is a year of change for the team, which will play in its own, non-shared arena for the first time since 1998-99. The Clippers are now sporting new uniforms that throw things back to the previous era and designed new nautical-themed logos.
As for the new schedule itself, here are some notable Clippers home games at the brand-new Intuit Dome:
- Phoenix Suns, Oct. 23, 2024 (home opener)
- L.A. Lakers, Jan. 19, 2025, and Feb. 4, 2025
- Boston Celtics, Jan. 22, 2025
- Houston Rockets, April 9, 2025 (final home game of the regular season)
