VAN NUYS — A man and a woman were killed Sunday night when they were struck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train in Van Nuys.
The crash was reported at 9:29 p.m. Sunday east of 7600 Woodman Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
The deceased were believed about 35 years old and pronounced dead at the scene, Humphrey said.
No other injuries were reported and none of the passengers or crew aboard the train required medical assistance, he said.
The train remained stopped at the scene for the investigation, Humphrey said.
