Concerned family members and authorities are searching for a missing Los Angeles man.
Michael Martinez, 23, disappeared on July 25, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
He was last seen on the 1200 block of 5th Avenue at around 3 p.m. and last heard from at around 6 p.m. that day.
The next day, his vehicle was found abandoned in a remote San Bernardino County area near the 15 Freeway and Wild Wash Road.
Martinez’s family is extremely concerned, saying it’s uncharacteristic for him to not return home. He does not have any medical or mental health issues that would contribute to his disappearance, loved ones said.
Martinez is described as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a “black thin sweat top sweater, blue jeans, and white sandals,” LAPD said.
Anyone who may know Martinez’s whereabouts or has information on his disappearance is asked to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800.
The public can also call the LAPD at 1-877-527-3247.
