A barricaded suspect in a Glendale apartment building prompted a large police response early Thursday morning, according to authorities.
Police responded to the area of the 1800 block of Vassar Street between midnight and 1 a.m. Thursday after reports of a disturbance, KTLA’s Rich Prickett reported.
The extent of the situation was not immediately clear, but SWAT and fire personnel were still outside the building as of 8:30 a.m. There was no word on whether it was a hostage situation or whether the suspect was armed.
Police asked the public to avoid the area around 8:30 a.m. No additional details were immediately made available.
