A speeding motorcyclist was arrested after a pursuit termination investigation turned up multiple packages of drugs.
According to preliminary reports, CHP officers initiated the pursuit on the 10 Freeway in Claremont around 11 p.m. Monday. It is believed that the motorcyclist was wanted for speeding and not having license plates.
The pursuit eventually made its way to the 210 Freeway, where the suspect ditched the motorcycle and a backpack after crashing at the bottom of the Sierra Avenue exit, initial information indicates.
Police were able to track down the suspect, who fled after the crash, and arrest him without further incident. He was not immediately identified.
A subsequent search of the man’s backpack turned up multiple bricks of drugs, video from the scene shows.
It was not immediately clear what drugs the man was in possession of.
