A violent crash on the 91 Freeway in Cerritos caused one car to end up on top of another overnight.
Preliminary information indicates that the collision occurred on the 91 Freeway west of the 605 Freeway around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Video from the scene obtained by KTLA shows the vehicles involved in the collision – a black SUV and a light-colored sedan – had careened off the roadway and into greenery on the shoulder.

A light pole was also sheared off during the crash, according to video footage. Neither driver sustained injuries.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation, but wet road conditions and speeding may have played a role, authorities said.
